Fog in Channel: continent cut off

cameronpiss

It all began with Conservative PM David Cameron pissing over the European Union while trying to persuade Britain to stay in it, having signed a pact with the devil, persuading voters to give him support rather than UKIP, and he would give them a referendum.

An equivocal Conservative position that would carry on confusing the British electorate right through to voting day on June 8, 2017, after Theresa May – an apparent remainer – did a volte face  and became the arch hard-Brexit Cruella de Vil, just to get her hands on the power base.  The worst form of politician.

At 65, I saw myself slightly distanced from it all.  I put in my vote to remain in the EU in the referendum, and was astonished by the result, like many.  The future is for the young: their interests are being trashed by the voting power of those elderly ignorant readers of the Express, the Mail and the Sun who will be dead before the real damage is apparent.

I began my political life on the Left in the 1970s and even worked on the Communist Morning Star but by the end of the first decade of the 21st century regarded myself as a Telegraph reader and Conservative.  Here in Spain, I became a Partido Popular voter and I even considered joining the PP until it became apparent that it was mainly about corruption and not social improvement.

My ideological friends and allies politically were Catholic traditionalists and the main threat seemed to be from the Left.  I was devastated when Pope Benedict XVI resigned and the present idiot pope was installed.  I am still suspicious of elements of the extreme Left (e.g. the connections between the extreme Left party in Spain, Podemos, and the Venezuelan totalitarian regime they once advised).

But I now begin to see that the Right in Europe – the new hard Right – has targeted us in a way we could never have imagined. Through digital manipulation.

It is the Right who are undermining democracy and using vast financial resources and data manipulation to win elections.  This is a story which is going to play out more when the election in the UK is over.  Carole Cadwallader’s investigative reporting in The Guardian during the election period could not be followed up by broadcast media, for legal reasons.  It will surely be followed up afterwards?

THE WOMAN WHO CASUALLY SIGNS AWAY THE FUTURE OF THE BRITISH ECONOMY, THE NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE, YOUR FUTURE FREE MOVEMENT IN EUROPE, THE FUTURE OF UK FARMING, AND THE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES OF EUROPEAN YOUTH MUST BE REMOVED FROM OFFICE ON JUNE 8TH

I had little enthusiasm for Jeremy Corbyn and I am still not entirely convinced by his team, but nothing could be worse for Britain than the power freak Theresa May.  Vote tactically, vote against the Tory, wherever you are…

Maybe it is time to return home to the safe British Left of my youth.  The guarantor of democratic freedoms the Right want to sell to the digital billionaires like Arron Banks.

VOTE LABOUR – VOTE LIBERAL – VOTE GREEN – VOTE MONSTER RAVING LOONY PARTY – VOTE ANYTHING BUT CRUELLA DE VIL

“VOTE EARLY, VOTE OFTEN”

FOR BRITISH TRADE, FOR BRITISH FREEDOM, FOR BRITISH MEMBERSHIP OF THE EU, WHATEVER CAN BE SALVAGED OF IT, FROM THE SUICIDAL REFERENDUM VOTE.
