Feast of Saint Cecilia

FELIZ FIESTA DE SANTA CECILIA!

Good morning. If you see the bands out parading today, that is what it is all about. Saint Cecilia was a Roman saint, patron of musicians; and there is a very beautiful church of St Cecilla in Rome if you are ever there, in Trastevere.

I am in Sella this morning which is full of musicians, and I am currently meeting contacts to spread the word about starting our Brexit self-help group for Finestrat/Orxeta/Sella. Toni in the Bar Casino and the parish priest of Finestrat/Sella, Fr Vicente will be able to pass on enquiries from UK residents. We hope to have the self-help group up and running by early January.

More good news this week concerning one of the Brexit court cases I was explaning here. Sue Wilson v. vs. The Prime Minister (High Court) hearing on 7th December has been extended from 2 hours to a full day. It’s less that 2 weeks to go. Sue is looking forward to putting across the arguments as to why the referendum result should be declared invalid.

Also remember that the Good Law Project case in the European Court of Justice takes place on Tuesday of this week. I will update you on my Facebook page.  Read about the current sate of play here: https://goodlawproject.org/supreme-court-rejects-governments-attempt-stop-article-50-case/

Due to my vastly increased internet activity, I have already used up my 25 gigs of internet for the month. I am therefore using wi-fi in locations in Finestrat, Orxeta and Sella. So, until 1 December when my internet renews, I am unable to pick up messages at home or do urgent retweets on Twitter. ( I will respond to messages this week from about 12.00 and then 18.00 each day Spanish time. Thanks for your patience.)

Enjoy your Sunday and on this feast of Saint Cecilia do listen to some music!
