Moustey: the 1000 kilometre stone

January 22, 2021

Day 50 of Walking Out of the World, in which the diversion to Moustey turns out to be a fool’s errand. The last 1000 kilometres to Compostela will be offered as a prayer for the unity of the Catholic Church and adherence of the faithful to the authority of the Bishop of Rome. Matilde and the donkey in the mirror

Matilde let out a bray of surprise: Who is that donkey in the window of Finestrat town hall?

2010 – 2023

Equusasinus.net is a donkey diary blog by Gareth Thomas and it continues from the original brotherlapin.wordpress.com blog recording life with donkeys in Spain from 2010 – 2016 (still available but no longer updated.)  The scallop shell in the header is the symbol of pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.  The banner header photo shows the author walking on the Camino de Santiago in 2008, while walking from Worcester on a 2500 kilometre pilgrimage.  The donkeys in the header are superimposed: Matilde with pannier bags bearing the scallop shell symbol and Rubí donkey walking behind her.

Rubí writes her #Tuesbray blogue, but only on Tuesbrays when she can be bothered.
