Following my visit to Pepe Selfa in late November to study at first hand the project to save the Andalusian donkey race, I have been considering my approach before writing here on my blog about my experience in Palma del Rio, or posting immediate impressions. First I would like to thank Pepe for introducing me to his beautiful animals, and also thank him as Vice-President of ASNOPRA for enabling my conversation with Álvaro Jiménez, the President of the association. On my return to Alicante I decided that here on this donkey blog equusasinus.net the best contribution I can make would be to publicise the work of my friends in Andalucia using my contacts in the donkey world, and therefore I am spending more time on the technical aspects of redesigning this blog than simply writing about my experiences in Andalucia. The pages will soon be simultaneously published in English, Spanish and French.

Tras mi visita a Pepe Selfa a finales de noviembre para estudiar de primera mano el proyecto de salvamento de la raza burra andaluza, he estado considerando mi enfoque antes de escribir aquí en mi blog sobre mi experiencia en Palma del Río o publicar impresiones inmediatas. En primer lugar, me gustaría agradecer a Pepe por presentarme a sus hermosos animales, y también agradecerle, como vicepresidente de ASNOPRA, por permitirme conversar con Álvaro Jiménez, el presidente de la asociación. A mi regreso a Alicante, decidí que aquí, en este blog sobre burros, equusasinus.net, la mejor contribución que podía hacer era dar a conocer el trabajo de mis amigos en Andalucía a través de mis contactos en el mundo del burro, y por lo tanto, estoy dedicando más tiempo a los aspectos técnicos del rediseño de este blog que simplemente a escribir sobre mis experiencias en Andalucía. Las páginas se publicarán próximamente simultáneamente en inglés, español y francés.

Suite à ma visite chez Pepe Selfa fin novembre pour étudier de près son projet de sauvetage des ânes andalous, j’ai mûrement réfléchi avant d’écrire sur mon blog à propos de mon expérience à Palma del Río ou de partager mes premières impressions. Je tiens tout d’abord à remercier Pepe de m’avoir présenté ses magnifiques animaux, et à le remercier également, en sa qualité de vice-président d’ASNOPRA, de m’avoir permis de m’entretenir avec Álvaro Jiménez, le président de l’association. De retour à Alicante, j’ai décidé que la meilleure contribution que je pouvais apporter à ce blog dédié aux ânes, equusasinus.net, était de faire connaître le travail de mes amis andalous grâce à mon réseau dans le monde équin. C’est pourquoi je consacre davantage de temps aux aspects techniques de la refonte de ce blog qu’à la simple rédaction de mon récit de voyage en Andalousie. Les pages seront bientôt publiées simultanément en anglais, en espagnol et en français.
