As mentioned in the last blog post, I flew back to the UK for a few days earlier this week. The main purpose of the visit was to see my daughter who lives in north Wales and deliver her birthday present.
This was an album containing a complete photo history of the past year: setting up El Parral here and moving the donkeys etc. Plus a selection of some of the best moments in El Caseriu where I started off with the donkeys seven years ago. Since I have grouped all those photos together on a USB disk to print them out, I thought I might as well put a few of them on the blog today, starting with the photo of Alys visiting the foals six years ago, shortly after they were born.

These are just a few of the photos in the birthday album. I’ll just finish with a birthday toast to Alys with her favourite birthday tipple….
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Ha ha! Yes, I shall be sitting by the fire later, spending half an hour on each photo and may even consider a hot toddy at bedtime – the only palatable way to drink a drop of Jim Beam whisky… I wonder how many years it will remain in the cabinet for…

Well, if it spends twenty years in the drinks cabinet before your next hot toddy, it won’t be quite so bad as the lumpy Bailey’s Cream… 🙂
